Hi, I need to change the two admin adresses to my websites : http://www.majjohansen.com and smallpocketsofwind.com …. they both still have the /wp-admin/ so they will be too easily hackeqid. How do I go about that?
I also cheked out the ‘Manage WP Sites’ service that at first glance looks like it costs 2.10 a month to aquire, but then when i tried to buy it it said that it was 21 dollars a month. Can You please eksplain what that means. I’m a small buisness and i would like the service with the backup and so forth.
But first of all I need to change the name on the administration page for both my sites.

Thank you for your time. Maj

    Hi Maj!

It currently isn’t possible to change your admin address away from /wp-admin/. However, please note that we offer several options to help improve security.

First, we highly recommend selecting a strong password. Details can be found here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/selecting-a-strong-password/

Second, we offer two-step authentication, which can go a long way in improving security:

    Enable Two-Step Authentication

Are you referring to Manage WP seen here?

Manage WordPress Sites from One Dashboard

If so, that is only available to self-hosted blogs using WordPress.org software, not blogs hosted at WordPress.com. While sounding similar, WordPress.org and WordPress.com are completely different:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

At WordPress.com, we do not offer a back-up solution although I can assure you that your content is safe. However, if you would like, you could periodically export your site as described here:

    http://www.en.support.wordpress.com/export

That would save an XML file with all of your content.

    Would that work?

Let me know if you have any additional questions!

    Hi Jeremy
    Thank you very much.
I have an aditional question, that ‘s probably silly, but I have looked and searched, and looked some more. To make my HOME page a static page is done. But then when it comes to making my BLOG page/menu and my BOGBLOG page/menu a blog I can’t figure it out. On all the toturials I see another ‘Settings’ menu than the one I can find, Where you can change the fron page to a static and then anoter page as your blog? (I need help to get two pages ‘bloggified’.
Thanks again. Hope you have a good day Maj

Just to make sure I understand correctly, on your site smallpocketsofwind.com, currently, you have your front page set as “Forside” and your Posts page set as “Blog”. You would like to also set-up another page (BOGBLOG) as another “Posts Page”. Is that correct?

I’m afraid only one page can be set as your default “Posts page”. However, you can set-up another page to display your posts (or a certain category of posts) using the Display Posts shortcode as described here:

    Display Posts Shortcode

Would that work for what you’re looking to accomplish?

    Ok thank you very much.

About the short code: Where and how do i make my ‘Bog blog’ page move like a blog that has book reviews i certain categories.

About a fowwow butten to face book, how do i make it do that it says :
It looks like your Facebook URL is incorrectly configured. Please check it in your widget settings.

Only one page can be set to be your default “Posts” page. Currently, that page is set to be your Front page. However, if you would like, you could use something like this on a separate page:

    [display-posts include_excerpt="true" category="dragonfly-awaiting"]

That would list all of your posts in the “dragonfly-awaiting” category with the post excerpt.

Does that make sense? More modifiers can be found here:

You should be able to integrate your site with Facebook following the instructions here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-integration/

Please note, for the “Like” box, you will need to connect a Facebook Page (not a Profile). Does that make sense?

If you’re still having trouble, please let me know!
