Change administrative email address

    We are looking for a way to change the administrative email address of our blog. Can someone explain how to do this?

    Hi,

    you can update your email address in your Account Settings, or in your Personal Settings under Users → Personal Settings in your dashboard.

    Once you’ve entered a new email address and saved the change, you’ll receive two emails: one email will go to the original email address on the account as a notification of the request and the other will go to the new email address with a confirmation link. You will need to click the confirmation link to complete the process to change the email address.

    Thank you for the quick response. Is this email address the same as the administrative one? If i look at whois.net the administrative email is different from the one that is currently stated at the personal settings menu. I need the administrative email to be able to acquire an authorization code.

    Hi, from the WP.com admin account you manage everything WP, but since your domain is registered through Wild West Domains, perhaps asking there would help.
    Not sure if I understand what do you want to accomplish…

    Hi there,

    Your domain’s contact information is managed through the domain manager on your My Domains page. You can click the “Edit” button next to your domain name to open the domain manager and edit your domain’s contact information (including the administrative email address) there.
