Change an already purchased domain name.
-
Hi all,
Now that my site has gotten larger I am becoming aware of copyright and want to move NBA from my domain name. I have purchased the current one. Can I edit this or can I simply by another domain name in the store and go from there?
I really don’t want to have to create a new site.
Thanks for the help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can buy another domain name and map it to the existing blog – you can have more than one custom domain name mapped to a blog here – but only one can be Primary (displayed in the browser address bar)
However – you have a problem with the Terms of service – you should review them and remove the Ads quickly before your site is suspended
You might also review the TOS before you get too far along:

You can register additional domain names at any time and map them to your blog, and you can keep existing ones so you don’t lose traffic. Whichever domain you choose as your primary domain under Store > Domains will be the one that shows up in the address bar for your site, so you can keep the original domain for a while if you wish.

I’m just wondering if there is some way I can converse with someone from WP staff to get a clearer indication of what I can or cant do with my blog. I have heard of people being signed up for Word Ads then finding out they have accidently violated the T’s and C’s and been suspended. I just want to make sure i’m all A-Okay

I have been accepted for WordAds but apparently with my domain name having NBA in it apparently violates the T’s and C’s. i’m just a bit confused, I want the ads but people say that when you start etting involved with WordAds the WP crew find things within your blog that have violated the T&C agreement. I just want someone to look over the site and make sure its all okay and if I actually do in fact need to change the domain name due to copyright.

Your site is NOT okay, because you have an ad in your sidebar which is selling ads on your site. This has nothing to do with your domain name.

If you have been working with the WordAds team concerning your site content, please continue that discussion with them, and they should be able to sort everything out for you.
