Change annoying text at top of Motion theme?

There’s some super-annoying text at the top of this otherwise great theme. I was wondering if there’s any way to rewrite it (or get it rewritten?). As far as I can tell, this text is hardwired into the PHP code, which I don’t have access to. Anyway, here’s the text I’d like to ditch:
Hey there! Thanks for dropping by Wibbly Wobbly Time! Take a look around and grab the RSS feed to stay updated. See you around!
Here’s how I’d like to rewrite it:
People assume that time is a strict progression from linear cause to effect, when actually – from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint – it’s more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.
Thanks!

That’s just some sample text in the header widget area. To replace it, you go to Appearance>Widgets, click the Header module to open it, drag a Text widget to it, write whatever you like, save.

Can I remove this widget altogether? If I just enter NOTHING in the text box, then on the screen you can still see the outline of a green text box. But if I delete the text box (ie, drag the text widget out of the header module), the annoying text returns.

That outline will always be there unless you have some CSS editing experience and the CSS upgrade. Then it can be removed.
