change API Key (WordPress.com Stats) …

  Hey,

  I want to change my API Key and followed the steps on http://en.support.wordpress.com/api-keys/ to do so.

  The problem is, when I (Step 7) deactivate and activate the WordPress.com Stats plugin (or even when I delete and reinstall it) I do not get a warning so that I can’t go to the configuration page where I could change the API Key…
  All that happens is that I of course can’t follow my stats in my externally-hosted blog’s dashboard anymore (“Your WordPress.com account, …. is not authorized to view the stats of this blog”)

  Is there another way to change the API Key?

  I’d be grateful for any advise thx
