Change Archive Names

    I am brand new to blogging and would like to start a travel log. If I do, is it possible to change the name of archives? For instance, as opposed to one saying August 2017 I’d like it to read Germany 2011. The only posts that would show would be the ones for that trip. A different one would be Germany 2016. If you clicked on that, only the posts for 2016 would show.

    Hello there, what you want is called Category pages. https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

    As explained in that support guide, when you tag your posts with a particular Category you can then put that category in your site’s menu bar with a Custom menu.

    Those other archive pages like August 2017 are automatically generated by the software and that can’t be overridden, but you don’t need to link to them. :)
