Change auto-generated page

I use the Expound theme in WordPress.com, and I am frustrated by the page that is automatically generated when I add a post. The five most recent posts are displayed differently than the other posts which are listed below, and because of the look of this specific theme, I am concerned that visitors won’t realize that there are additional posts further down. Is there a way to restructure the page so that instead of having the five most recent posts highlighted in a special way they are simply in a list like the other posts? I like the way it appears when it is responsive to smaller devises like tablets, but not the way it looks on a big-screen computer.

Specifically, I’m referring to this page: http://cbpabusestest.wordpress.com/cases/

If there is no way to adjust the layout of the page, is there a way to delete it all together so that I can just manually construct the more basic layout?

Thank you so much for any advise/guidance!

  • Hi there – Those are posts that you’ve tagged with the ‘featured’ tag, as specified in Appearance->Customize->Featured Content.

Expound is a magazine-style template. If you don’t want the featured section at the top, you might see if there’s a theme you like just as well that doesn’t have that.

    Here are some suggestions:
