Change Blog Address

    I want to change my blog address to something new. I tried to follow the instructions. I went to the Dashboard and clicked “My Blogs,” I hovered over the address I wanted to change but the option “Change Blog Address” is not showing up. The only option is “Leave Blog.” I had an issue the last time I changed my blog address and wonder if this might be why it will not allow me to change the address. (Did something in error with changing admins). Can you help me resolve this issue so I may change the blog address? Thank you in advance.

    Hello there,

    1. You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and change the URL.

    2. The URL you desire must be available ie. not a previously deleted blog URL as they are not recycled here.

    If you want to change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
