Change blog address

    Is there anyway to use the address of an old blog? I changed it and now I want to change it back and I’m unsure if I checked the box to ‘discard current address’ bc I keep getting an error ‘Sorry, that site has already been used’ when I type in the desired address.

    Please help!!

    Hello!

    According to the WordPress support doc titled ‘Delete Site’ found here.

    “Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).”

    Unfortunately there’s no way to recover it.

    On the bright-side, you could create a custom domain, then point that to a new WordPress.com site.
