Change Blog Address to previously used address

  Hi Guys
  I originally setup my blog address as “planetbudge.wordpress.com” as a sort of practice run to get familar with WordPress. Problem is that I’ve gone into “production” with “planetbudge1970.wordpress.com” but want to revert back to my original address by stripping out the numbers. In other words, i want the content from “planetbudge1970.wordpress.com” to live at “planetbudge.wordpress.com” I’m prevented from doing so as it’s “reserved”

  From what I understand in the Help files, if i simply delete “planetbudge.wordpress.com” I won’t be able to rename “planetbudge1970.wordpress.com” to “planetbudge.wordpress.com”
  Any help greatly appreciated.

  DON’T delete anything – that kills the name FOREVER

  I see a site at: http://planetbudge.wordpress.com/ that seems to be the site you want – just export everything from your 1970 site and import it to planetbudge – then set 1970 to private or block search engines – keep the 1970 site in case you want to test things.

  Thanks auxclass.Good advice re Deleting blog,
  I could be snookered with regard to Export/Import because much of my content is media which means I’d have to do it manually.

  I might sleep on it
