Change blog from private to public

I want to change my blog from private to public but nothing I have found on the site will work.

I typed privacy settings into the searchbox here where all support documentation if found http://en.support.wordpress.com and this is the result > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

I have done exactly that about four times and I cannot get anything to change. I keep changing to public but it will not work. Still shows private.

yes “The first time I logged in they said I would have to request permission from the owner to view. I AM the owner. :O) I finally am able to get to the blog but am having no luck changing to public.

Hi lovegottreu,
Your blog is currently public, but your posts are marked as private.
If you want to change them from private to public, you can go to the Edit Posts screen to access the Quick Edit menu, uncheck the ‘Private’ checkbox, then click the Update button. (You’ll need to do this for each post you want to change to public.)

Thank you so much. The problem is finally solved. However when I went to the site it said the blog was private so changed that too. I will never mark anything private again. :O) Thanks again.

You must think that I am completely nuts. I saw new blog on the page and thought it was talking about The blog. I have just been looking at the pictures on the first post and get to the end and see a post titled “new blog.” Well the problem is still solved. :O)
