Change Blog into Page or Project

  I have a long blog on building my house. I would now like to move to a site that contains this blog as a project or page(s) and add others things like my furniture building to the site. Questions is can i convert the blog to a format like a project?

  I am using Argent now. Is there a better theme to use in the future for what I want to do?

  We don’t have a great blog-post-to-project converter, unfortunately. If you don’t necessarily need to use Argent’s project feature though (or if you’d be happy using a different theme that has a similar effect with blog posts, for example) you could just put all of those posts into a project category. And put furniture building in another.

  Would that work for you?

  If not, you can convert posts to projects manually, just by copying their HTML and pasting it into a project page’s HTML, then adding the featured image, etc.

  Thanks – I kind of like the agrent theme. Maybe I just do not know enough about the others.

  I will test your idea about hand copying the posts over.

  The other thing I found was to tag all the posts with a consistent tag and then place the tag in a menu tab. Not quite the same but OK.

  You can put project tags or post tags in the menu, so no worries there. Once you’ve got things copied over, let us know if you need help with that.
