I want to change my blog name. It is “secondcareerdotme” and I want it to be “Second career”

“save changes”However, if you want to change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. I have ended up with so many blogs whilst getting my site set up that I am getting confused as to which is which. Is it possible to change the names of my blogs, but not my web address? Or, better still, can I delete the blogs that I don’t want and just keep the one I am happy with? I’m worried that if I delete them I will lose my web address. I DON’T WANT TO LOSE MY WEB ADDRESS.

You have a username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/clairemckenzie2013 It is not a “web address”.
Only blogs you have registered under a username have web addresses AKA URLs. All blogs are independent websites. Deleting on blog address URL has absolutely no affect on any other blogs registered under that same username.
You must be logged in under the exact same username account that created a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

If you think you may want to use a blog URL in the future do not delete it, make the visibility private.
