Change Blog Name & Address

  Hi: I have a blog that I have set up as a subdomain for my existing domain of rudyfoto.com. Current blog site: https://iwonderandwander.rudyfoto.com/

  Right now I need to create a new name for this blog (it needs to be shorter and to support some upcoming business plans). I have selected a domain name now that isn’t taken. I also want to have this stop being a subdomain, which it is now too.

  I went to your instructions page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/. I followed them. Your instructions were: “Go to My Site → Domains and click on your .wordpress.com address. There, click on Edit Site Address, and you’ll be taken to your WP Admin dashboard.”

  But I didn’t see the choices your instructions claim will pop up.
  -I Click under “my site” and then “domain” on the menu.
  -I do NOT see a “change blog address” choice pop up on the WP Admin dashboard. I only see on the page with domain setting: Type: Mapped Domain; Payment Settings; Email; DNS Records choices.

  There is no “change blog address” choice. Can you advise if I’m using the wrong instructions? I would like to make a change as quickly as possible. Happy to do screen snapshots as needed. Thanks.
