CHANGE BLOG-NAME AND DOMAIN-NAME

  HI, I just purchased the domain COMMITMENT-BASED-THEATER.COM over United Domains and I want to change yogadeslachens.wordpress.com – where jellajost.com is connected to – to change it into the new domain commitment-based-theater, so that i can keep all the pages on jellajost.com but have the new domain name. I´d like to have the domain name the same as the blog name: commitment-based-theater. is that possible?

  Hi,

  Let list out the sites/domains you’re referring to just to make sure we’re on the same page.

  Site: jellajost.wordpress.com

  Associated domains: commitment-based-theater.com & jellajost.com

  Site: yogadeslachens.wordpress.com

  Associated domains: stimm-werk.com

  It looks like you’ve already purchased the mapping upgrade for commitment-based-theater.com. Were you able to get this worked out? If not, could you please clarify exactly what you’re looking to do?

  thank you, no I didnt manage to connect websites and my new domain.
  1. I´d like to cancel jellajost.com.
  2. but I want to keep the content, the pages…
  3. I want commitment-based-theater.com instead of jellajost.com.
  4. yogadeslachens.wordpress.com should stay as it is. the same with stimm-werk.com I didn’t figure out and cannot deal with DNS and name server….sorry. also email would be perfect. could you help?

  Yep! I can definitely help with these items. I clarified a few below:

  Just to confirm, you no longer want that domain, correct? When we cancel a domain, it’s returned to the registrar. It will not be available for use right away after it’s cancelled, and it may be purchased by someone else. Please reply back to confirm!

  Did you mean you would like to setup a custom email address on a particular domain? If so, there are two options:

  1. Email forwarding, which forwards emails to a custom address to an address you already own. You can read more about that here:

  2. A custom email address, which would have a separate inbox but would be completed through a third-party as explained here:

     http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/

  Can you let me know which option you would like to go with?
