  I want to change a word in my title from whalemeat to whale meat-how do i do it? I mean how can you edit a title?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Go to settings > general and you can change the title and tagline content there. Make sure and save after making your changes.

  Thanks-are you from UK? My sites are leonarda da vinci(women artists of 20th century) and a charity site tastes like whale meat! thanks for your help

  Dear thesacredpath,

  My name is Mike Ormsby. I have a dilemma and was wondering if you could help.

  I want to change my current blog address from <dailydipstick.wordpress.com> to <mikeormsby.wordpress.com>.

  However, when I tried, I was told: ‘Sorry, that site already exists!’

  So I searched for <mikeormsby.wordpress.com> to see what I could find and, guess what, up comes another blog entitled <frictiuni.wordpress.com>.

  Ironically, I own that blog too, having registered it when I was first getting to grips with WordPress, about 2 years ago. I later decided that I preferred ‘dailydipstick’ and rendered ‘frictiuni’ as ‘inactive’, its current status. I don’t use it.

  Here’s my question: if, as it seems, ‘mikeormsby.wordpress.com’ is currently registered to my first now-inactive blog (‘frictuini’), can I free up the blog title ‘mikeormsby.wordpress’, use that instead of ‘dailydipstick’, and later upgrade to <mikeormsby.com>, my ultimate goal?

  If so, how? I’m wary of ‘delete blog’ and ‘transfer user’, etc, in case I do something wrong and irreversible such as deleting ALL my current posts on ‘dailydipstick’. Ideally, I want to keep all those posts, but under the new address ‘mikeormsby.com’

  Sorry for a long post and thank you for any advice!

  Wait until Monday and then contact staff via your dashboard HELP button. They will be able to help you. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING for now.

  @mike – your old blog is there and looks fine – the “inactive” is something you seem to have put there when you moved to a new blog address – just log into your old blog at

  http://mikeormsby.wordpress.com/wp-login.php

  And away you go – there is a forgot password function if you forgot that – then just Export the content from your current blog and import the contents to your new blog and put a note on the old blog you have moved –
