Change BlogName NOT Site Title OR URL (Not The Same) :(
-
Hey,
I’ve done a search through the forum but can’t see anything that exactly matches the problem, in fact most people seem to think the Blog Name and the Site Title are the same. This is actually not the case. The default setting makes them the same, but you can edit it.
What I am trying to find out is how do you change the BLOG NAME.So, to clarify with example. I have made three blogs,
The url sixsidedtruth has a SITE TITLE of Blessed & Depressed. However., the BLOG NAME is SixSidedTruth. Like the URL.
The url failingsincebirth has a SITE TITLE of Palm. Face.
However, the BLOG NAME is The Original FML. NOT like the URL.All three components are separate and not a case of semantics.
When you create a new blog you set the URL and the Blog Name.
The Blog Name is what you the user sees when you go to Manage My Blogs. However, when you go to Settings > General on the dashboard you can change the Site Title. This changed the title the viewer sees on the actual blog. It does NOT change what the blog name is for the user.I am looking to change the Name of the blog, so that when I go to Manage My Blogs, i see ‘The Original FML’ as the same as the URL, but keep the Self Title as Palm. Face.
Anyone following this ramble and able to help ? Xxx
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The My Blogs page should show the site title. It may fall back to the blog name from the blog URL if the site title for the blog has been left blank.
The site title for https://failingsincebirth.wordpress.com/ is currently set to “Face. Palm.” so that’s what you should see in the My Blogs page at http://wordpress.com/my-blogs/
If the site title still doesn’t match, try clearing your local browser cache and re-login to see if that helps:
