Change Body Font With CSS
-
Is there any way to change the body font with CSS? I don’t like any of the default fonts available, so am wondering if I can choose one with CSS.
Thank you!

Hi, you are limited to the fonts listed in Appearance > Customize > Fonts for the most part. If you don’t use one of those fonts, then the font you choose has to be one that is installed on the visitor’s computer, and there aren’t a lot that are common to all computer systems. Avenir is not included on any computer by default. Here is a good resource for fonts common to Mac and Windows.

Once I’ve picked a font that is common to all computers, how can I change to a font not in that prescribed list on WordPress?

The following example changes only the font within the content area.
.entry-content { font-family: Georgia1, Georgia, serif !important; } -
