Change color for title and excerpt text on featured content images

  I’m using Creative Portfolio theme and need to be able to change the text color of the featured images page titles and excerpt texts that appear on the images found on the slider on the front page.

  The default seems to be white and the text is pretty much washed out. I was told by a “Happiness Engineer” how to do it but it didn’t work. I’ve since mucked around with it, but with no success. Right now, the only code I have (that doesn’t work) is …

  #featured-content h1,
  body {color: black;}

  Any help is appreciated. Wonder if h1 is incorrect/insufficient since the title text and excerpt texts are differently sized?

  Hi there,

  In this case, you have the right idea, but a little bit more specificity in the code is needed to target each of those elements.

  You can try entering following code instead:

  #featured-content h1.entry-title a,
  #featured-content .entry-summary {
  	color: #000;
  }
