Change color, Nishita
-
Hello everybody,
I want to change one particular color from my palette. Check this link: https://photojohansson.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/example1.png
I read article about it (http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-colors/) and I found this: “A circle with an “X” through it means the theme you are using did not set a color for that area.”
So is there any method to change this color. I have premium upgrade.
NOTE: I tried to code css on my own so that’s why my blog’s main menu and header is quite messy at the moment. I’ll fix it when I get back home.
Best regards,
Antti J.

Hi Antti J, I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
A circle with an “X” through it means the theme you are using did not set a color for that area so you can’t change the color of that area using Custom Colors but you can change the color of any part of front end of your website by developing custom CSS code.
If you have purchased the Custom Design upgrade then you can develop the custom CSS code and use it by adding it in the CSS editor.
Could you please tell me for which are you want to change the color so that i can help you to develop the CSS code for it?

Something like that should just work without needing extra CSS, but in this case, I think the theme option color scheme and the color palette are conflicting with each other. Can you try the following to fix it and let me know if it works?
1. Go to Appearance > Theme Options
2. Select “Light” for the “Color Scheme” option
3. Click the “Save Changes” button
4. Go to Appearance > Customize > Colors and make sure the same blue colors you had selected before are still working as they should beIf you run into any problems at all, let me know.
For reference, here are the current color selections and background image:
1. #042361
2. #5669f2
3. #ffffff -
Yesh, no need for css. I just made the change to “light” in “color scheme”. Now widgets are just fine on my site –>> THANKS

That’s great news! great to see you could achieve that by changing “color scheme” to “light” :)
