Change color of text
-
I used to be easily able to change color in text. Now I am baffled on how to do so.
here is a page where I used to change color for annotated text. Now starting to add more content, but cannot add text of different color: https://wordpress.com/page/zumpoems.com/366
I would just love to get that “A” icon to come back which allowed me to change font type and color.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I would just love to get that “A” icon to come back which allowed me to change font type and color.
The feature you’re referring to is called global styles, and is only available for some themes. That feature has never been available in the Spectrum theme you’re using on http://zumpoems.com/
In this theme you can change the site font and color scheme from the Customizer at My Site ->Design ->Customize:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-colors/
To change the color for text inside a specific post or page, you’ll either use the block toolbar to change the color for a single word/group of words, or the block settings in the sidebar to change the color for an entire paragraph:

Kokkieh,
Thanks for the information!
Not sure how I was so easily to change font color before if there was no “A” icon. Will read through your URLs. Appreciate the guidance!

I see how to get the “A” back with the toolbar toggle option. This works fine! Kokkieh, really appreciate it. It is still one extra step than before, but makes it easy again! Thanks!
