Change color of widget headers in Chateau Theme

    I am new to WP and love the Chateau theme, except that I would like to change the color of the side bar titles. I was hoping I could do this in the “font” area, but it looks like it is going to be a CSS edit, which I know nothing about. Can anyone help?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Add this to the CSS edit window and change the hex color code.

    .sidebar-widget h1 {
    color: #8D8767;
    }

    Also since your site is image heavy, I would suggest going to settings > reading and decreasing the number of posts to show on a page to perhaps 3. This will make your site load faster and be much easier on those of us with slow internet connections (there are still a lot of us out there).

    Thanks! I will also make the changes regarding the number of posts–good advice!

    With Chateau you can choose
    Theme Options—>Archive Style—>Concise
    to show quite a few posts on your front page.
    A.) Post titles and the first few lines of each post
    B.) Custom excerpts where you write your own synopsis of each post. You can even include a thumbnail image:

    (note: if you want to include thumbnails in the custom excerpt, you must copy the code from the html editor into the excerpt module.)

    Thanks! I will look into that one, as well.

    I appreciate the quick responses!
