change color on the whole page/post

Hello. I am wondering if you know about a CSS code that makes the whole site the same colour. I do not mean the background colour of the site now – but the background colour of the pages/post. Say if I have a blue background. and then I post something- the background is white. When I change the background of the page there is still a white border line there that I can’t seem to remove.
Have gotten a CSS code for this before, but I can’t find it. Hope someone can help me :-)
