  How I can revert the comment form title back to the default ‘Leave a reply’ on a free WordPress.com plan? Thanks in advance!

  Hi there,

  You can change that through the Classic dashboard. Here’s a direct link to that:

  Just scroll to the bottom of the page, and you’ll find it under the Comment Form section.

  Thanks for your prompt reply!

  I can’t seem to find the option on the Classic view, either. There doesn’t seem to be a section called Comment Form. I wonder if there’s any other way to do it?

  Hi there,

  I’ve updated that prompt for you.

  I think my colleague forgot that that setting is only available for WordPress.com accounts created before a certain date, and as your account is only a month old, you won’t see that :)

  I’m planning to self-host my blog – I wonder if it’s possible to update it in a self-hosted configuration?

  You don’t need to live with it. I updated it for you, as mentioned above :)

  I’ve reset it to the default Leave a reply, which in the Finnish translation we currently have on WordPress.com is translated as Vastaa.

  That setting is specific to the comment system we use here on WordPress.com. There’s no such setting available in the open source WordPress software, and you’ll either need a plugin, or you’ll need to modify your theme’s files to change that prompt on a self-hosted WordPress site.

  Would you mind sharing why you want to self-host, though? On a WordPress.com site you can do almost everything you can do on a self-hosted installation, with the added benefit that we take care of all updates, maintenance, backups and security for you – on a self-hosted site you’ll need to do all those things yourself.

  Is there a particular feature you’re looking for that’s missing on our end?
