Change content and purpose of my blog

    I started this blog a long time ago and know nothing about blogs. I want to redefine it. I want to use it for a totally different purpose, but keep the name. And I want to change the theme and everything. Do I have to register all over again or can i just revamp this one?

    Nope, no need to register a new blog :) It’s entirely up to you to choose what you’d like to do with your blog and you can certainly revamp the one that you have.

    You can change your blog’s theme via your Appearance -> Themes page on your WordPress.com Dashboard:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/

    If you’d like to change the title of your blog as well, you can modify that via your Settings -> General page.

    Alternatively, if you would like to register a new blog, you can do so via http://wordpress.com/signup/

    I did all of that, but when I go look at my page again, only some things are changed. The whole “about me” thing that I rewrote ( I first highlighted and deleted the old one without going into edit… maybe that is the problem) was still there and the new one was nowhere on the page. I guess I will keep on trying. Many times, though, I would click on edit or some other button and nothing would happen. Thanks for your advice.

    Where were you changing the “about me thing” at?

    Was it a post, page, widget, or your profile?

    I have no idea. I thought I was setting up a page with tabs, one being “about me”. I chose a theme with tabs across the top (Comet) so was trying to set those up. I created about 8 categories and they are nowhere to be found. I just don’t understand any of this. I have never done a blog and this is why. i think I’m done with this. I just have to figure out now how to get rid of the whole account! It’s too time consuming. I appreciate those who have tried to help. It all sounds simple, but then it doesn’t work for me.
