Change Credit Card on File – auto-renew Jan 2014

  I would like to change the credit card information you have on file for my automatic domain renewal. The renewal is to happen in January 2014, however, when I go into “User- Personal Settings” or “Store – My Upgrades”, the option to “Update Credit Card” is not visible (I checked out your support on Domains and tried to follow all the steps listed there). The status that is showing on my account is “Renewing”, and I am not sure if that is preventing me from updating the information on file.

  Is it possible to change the credit card on file before the auto-renew takes place next month?

  Hi Connie,

  We process automatic renewals for domain names a month in advance of the expiration date to give time to resolve any problems that may come up before the domain expires and access to your site is impacted.

  It’s currently in process (authorized, but will actually be charged later tonight).

  I voided the pending authorization, so you can update your credit card information at https://rubyreduction.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades
