Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out – no problem, I’ve changed that currency for you.
It looks like you’re just getting started – what are you looking to build exactly? Perhaps I can offer some advice on that.
-
We are building a non-profit site, we were on wordpress.org and our site seems to get hacked, there was a new user and a ton of rubbish posts and our links were pointing to some russian casino, so we decided to move to wordpress.com business.
-
Hey there!
Ah thanks for letting me know about that…
I’d recommend changing passwords on the site, first and foremost, and removing anything unwanted, including the malware before changing hosts.
Then it’s possible to move the site as per this plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcom-migration/ – which is completely automated.
I hope this is useful information.

Thanks, we do not know how or what the malware is, would you be able to advice how to find?
-
Hi @connectzh, sorry to hear you’ve been hacked! This guide may help; it links to some other articles and videos that have more information if you need it:
https://jetpack.com/support/securing-your-site-after-a-hack/Alternatively, you may prefer to import only your content here. That can take some re-configuring, as you’ll need to install fresh copies of your theme/plugins as needed, but it’s a great option if you were going to update your site anyway.
Once your site is here, we’ll have your back with your maintenance and security going forward. -
Thanks for the suggestions @supernovia, will explore all of those. I have a couple of quick questions:
- If the theme has some vulnerability, does wordpressc.com detect and fix it?
- If we have issues with the website, like something to do with SSL or CFN, would that be also fixed?
- What sort of support do i get with the business plan?
- Can we have more than one domain (two different sites) managed via one account?
- Looking at moving fatemidawatlegal.com and zahrahasanaat.com
- Is wordpress.org completely different when if comes to theme or plugin vulnerability assessment?
-
Hi there!
I’ll be happy to answer the questions for you. :) Just a heads up that with the WordPress.com Business plan, you also have access to live chat support. Feel free to choose the live chat option here if you’d like to chat with us.
If the theme has some vulnerability, does wordpressc.com detect and fix it?
We have automated security scanning, so we will notify you if there’s a vulnerability. We do our best to fix it, but sometimes, you would need to contact the theme/plugin author for help. In the meantime, we might disable the theme/plugin to secure your site. All of this will be communicated to you via email.
If we have issues with the website, like something to do with SSL or CFN, would that be also fixed?
We will help with SSL since we provide it for free. For CFN errors, we will need to investigate and help accordingly. We do our best to help in every case, but if there are third parties involved (like with plugins and themes), we will direct you to contact them for help.
What sort of support do i get with the business plan?
You can contact us for help with navigating and using the WordPress.com tools (such as the site editor, your dashboard, etc.), our themes, and the features you get with the Business plan. For example, you get automated backups with your plan. If you need help with restoring to an earlier version, or if there are issues with restoring, we will help you with that.
As mentioned earlier, if you need help with third-party themes or plugins, you would want to contact the respective support teams. You can still contact us first, and we’ll be happy to take a look and assess the situation. But we may not be able to help with third-party themes and plugins.
Can we have more than one domain (two different sites) managed via one account?
Yes, you can have as many sites as you want on the same WordPress.com account. Your plan covers only the site you purchased it on, though. So if you have two sites, you will need two separate WordPress.com plans on those sites.
Is wordpress.org completely different when if comes to theme or plugin vulnerability assessment?
I’m not fully sure I understand this question, I’m afraid. Would you mind explaining what you mean here? If there are specific examples you can share, that would help us understand the question better.
Thanks! Hope that helps.
