Change current domain name to a new domain name

  Greetings,

  I currently have from another provider (1&1) the domain Immobilier-Floride.info linked by DNS to florideimmobilier.wordpress.com. I want to change the domain Immobilier-Floride.info with a domain I also own with 1&1 titled Arcand-Feuillet-Immobilier-Floride.com.

  How can I do that with my current account?

  Hi Jean,

  Sure! You can add the Domain Mapping upgrade for Arcand-Feuillet-Immobilier-Floride.com just like you did for Immobilier-Floride.info.

  Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  For more information, please visit the help documentation provided by the registrar and our support page:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  Once this is set up, please make sure Arcand-Feuillet-Immobilier-Floride.com is set as the primary domain by going to Store > Domains in your Dashboard.

  I have disabled the auto-renewal for the Domain Mapping of Immobilier-Floride.info so you will not be charged going forward.

  Thanks. I updated the name servers, and upgraded the domain on WordPress to this new domain. It shows that the DNS settings are correct, but after 4 hours, I still don’t have access to my blog.

  Do I need to do anything else to make it work?

  Hi Jean,

  After looking into your blog, I found that it was loading properly as seen in the screenshot below:

  

  It can take some time to propagate – sometimes up to 72 hours. If you find that it is still not loading properly, can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below?

  Thank you, Grace, for your help.

  I found the problem I was having. I’m using OpenDNS and DNSCrypt on my Mac. Probably OpenDNS does not update as fast as other DNS systems. And it’s working fine on my iPhone and iPad.
