Change domain

  How can I change the domain of my wordpress site? I’ve a http://www.mysite1.org and want to change into http://www.mysite2.org.
  Do I need to buy a brand new domain? I bought my current one from wordpress. thanks

  Hi there. If you have a custom domain (and it’s been more than 48 hours since you registered it) then you’ll need to buy a new one and map your site to the new domain. It’s up to you then whether you cancel the old domain, or keep it as well until it expires. Custom domains cannot be changed in the way free WordPress.com URLs can.
