Change Domain, Keep followers?

Hello,
I would like to change my domain name from supernevik.wordpress.com to behindthelens.wordpress.com though was unsure if my followers would be redirected to the new site or not. I read the http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ article though it didn’t state my question. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The TLD (top level domain here is WordPress.com and the URLs you indicate are for blog on .wordpress.com sub-domains as all free hosted Woirdpress.com blogs are.
The answer to your question is found in the same entry you posted a link to above but perhaps you didn’t understand it.
If you do change your blog address, permalinks to your old address, including search engine results, will be broken unless you purchase a Site Redirect upgrade

If you do not purchase a site upgrade then understand what will happen is as follows. All those supernevik.wordpress.com sub-domain URL’s will be broken and all those broken links will be there for months until the search engines like Google index them again under the .wordpress.com URLs and clear their caches (3 – 6 months).
