Change domain mapping

  I want to change my domain name mapping from http://www.prominthplayground.org to http://www.thesummerprom.org. My value bundle is up for renewal shortly, please can you tell me how to do this without incurring a further charge for domain mapping. (i will no longer require the http://www.promintheplayground.org address).

  Hi there!

  We can absolutely get your mapping changed over between domains. Are you done with promintheplayground.org now? Or is this something which you need to hang on to for a bit longer?

  Thanks for your reply. What are the options?

  I could just switch the mapping. However, if there is an option to keep the promintheplayground.org for a couple of months, that might be helpful.

  Hi there,

  Basically your choice is when we switch your mapping over from promintheplayground.org to thesummerprom.org. This is a setting I will have to change for you, so when ever you need to have that happen I will need to make the switch for you.

  Thanks. Lets go for it straight away then. I am due to renew my WordPress Value Bundle in the next few days, so I guess I should wait till this is sorted before I do that.

  Hi there!

  OK, you’re all set on our end! All you need to do now is point thesummerprom.org’s Namerservers towards us and your domain will go live.

  In order to do that you will need to log in to your account with your domain registrar (I took a look and it appears to be registered with GoDaddy.com) and you’ll need to set your nameservers to:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  The instructions for how to change your nameservers at GoDaddy can be found right here:

  Hi,
  I followed your instructions, and http://www.thesummerprom.org now gets redirected to my website, but the website address is now http://www.promintheplayground.wordpress.com

  I thought it was going to be changed to http://www.thesummerprom.org?

  Hi there,

  That was just one setting that needed to be changed to have thesummerprom.org be set as your primary domain within your dashboard. I went ahead and did it for you, and now it is up and running!
