change domain name

    I am wondering if it is possible to change my domain name to a completely different name or do I have to create a new site?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    Are you talking about your domain name (mamanandayoga.com) or your blog name (mamanandayoga.wordpress.com)?

    If you’re talking about the former, those cannot be changed. You can only let this one expire or cancel it and purchase a new one.

    If the latter, you can actually change the name (though it’s important to remember that blog names aren’t recycled so once you change the blog name away from this one, it’s gone forever). Information on how to do this is right here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

    It’s also worth noting that you can always have more than one domain associated with a blog. So you can purchase an additional domain in addition to mamanandayoga.com, attach it to your blog, and have that be the one which you give out to everyone!
