change domain name

    My domain is named: paperbackwriterbiz.com I want to change the name. Do I have to create a new domain name or can I change the name of the current one? I’m looking to personalize the name better for future projects.

    Hey Patricia,

    Domain names are a bit like license plates. Once they’re registered, they are used to identify your car. If you want to change to a vanity plate, you have to register an entire new plate. The same thing happens with domain names.

    They are unique and “permanent” once they’re registered, and as long as you keep them in good standing on your site.

    If you want a brand new name, you cannot edit the current domain, but must register a new one.
