Change domain name

Hi. I would like to know whether it is possible to change the domain name of my blog (subscribe for the extra 18$) and still keep what I have already posted on my blog.
For example, lets say my blog’s name is example.wordpress.com and I want it to change into example.com. In my case this domain name is available. Is that possible? Or would I have to remake all my posts into the new domain name (example.com)?

Yes, if you upgrade you can still keep what you have already posted.
When you upgrade you can set the new url as the primary. Your other domain will redirect to the primary one.

New URLs: Adding a domain will change the URL (the links) to all your posts and pages. We will automatically redirect any visitors, but note that third-party services such as Twitter rely on the URL to measure activity. This may cause existing retweet counts to be reset to 0. Future posts will not be affected.

I have one more question (that I had posted before but no one replied). I was wondering if you could answer me that too.
I had previously created another blog, a test blog, so as to check how the whole idea is working. Now that I want to delete this test blog, would that affect the other blogs that I have under this account?

No prob! Yes, you can delete your test blog and it will not affect the other blogs under your WordPress account. However, be certain that you want to delete the site. Once you do, it is permanent and that domain name cannot be used again.

Hello again.
About 7 days ago, I registered the domain name as instructed in the links provided.
However I haven’t received yet an email asking me to verify my email address. Please help.

Did you use the correct email for verification? Any chance you used another email? If you are not receiving a verification request, I suggest you contact support at:

If you registered you domain, that is the e-mail you should’ve received. Since your account has already been activated, your e-mail has already been verified. You’ll know if your e-mail isn’t verified because you would not be able to post anything. So, you’re good to go!
