I am utilizing the free service. However, I need to change my domain name. I don’t want the one I had original signed up with. Please help. Also, if I upgrade to one of the premium accounts, will my site address still have wordpress.com in it? I just want example.com.

I am utilizing the free service. However, I need to change my domain name. I don’t want the one I had original signed up with.
If you buy your own domain and you connect it to your current site, you will then have two address to your site, your current one (WordPress.com branded one) and the new one (website.com without wordpress.com in between). If you wish to replace the name of your website to the new domain, you need to make the new domain the primary domain people will go to. Just a warning though that your old wordpress.com site (in this case simplyloaryway.wordpress.com) will still be associated to the new site name but just not visible to many.
Also, if I upgrade to one of the premium accounts, will my site address still have wordpress.com in it? I just want example.com.
When you upgrade to premium you get one custom domain address. This means you get any domain on the Internet as long as it’s not taken. Whatever domain you choose (website.com, website.blog, etc.) will be yours for a year so choose wisely!
