    Howdy Simon,

    Could you clarify for me whether:

    1. You wish to have your current domain cancelled, and english-teacher-geneva.com registered instead?
    2. You want to keep your current domain, and have english-teacher-geneva.com registered in addition?

    If it’s the first option, then I can go ahead and have the domain cancelled for you, and credit your account so that you don’t need to go through the charging process again.

    Let me know and I can get this sorted out for you!

    Howdy steve,

    I have been advised that it would be better to separate the words for search engine optimisation. If that is true then yes i would like to cancel everything i have done and start again with the new domain name….english-teacher-geneva.com. Will that separate the words and help me?
    Does this sound logical and sensible?

    Hello Steve;

    I am completely new to all this. I want a website and i am not really interested in a blog. Maybe it would be better to start again with the new domain name. HELP

    Hey Simon,

    You can have a read at some of the ways that Search Engine Optimisation (called ‘SEO’) works on WordPress.com here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

    and

    All About SEO on WordPress.com

    That said, don’t let this confuse you! WordPress.com sites by their nature are designed to be search engine friendly. We also have a Global Tagging (Topics) system that search engines love, and we ping out to all the major engines every time you update your blog. ( http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/ ) We’ve got you covered!

    It’s really up to you whether you want to switch to a hyphenated domain, but if it was me I’d stick with what you have already and concentrate on producing some great content :)

    Let me know what you think, and we can go from there.
