change email

  The email address associated with my account is no longer active. When I tried to change it to my active gmail address, a box comes up that says ‘That email address is already being used.’

  How can that be? I really need to change my account email address!!!!

  Hey there, it sounds like you have more than one account with us. One option is to log out, log into that other account, then change its email address to something else. Confirm the changes and your email will be freed up. Then you can log in with your @graywacke account again and update the email as you like.

  Or, if you’re wanting to change to a Gmail address, you could use an alias. Instead of using this:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Use this:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  You can make that +1, +whatever, +doesnotmatter … whatever letters or numbers make the most sense to you. Gmail will ignore the plus sign and anything after it. But we won’t, so it’s in effect a second email account that delivers to the same address.
