change email address

    I am attempting to change my email address, but when I put in my new one, it says it is already being used. I think long ago I started a blog with that email but I don’t know its name and it may have been used only once. How do I find that long lost blog and close it so I can change my email address?

    You first need to log in to the old account that is currently using that email address.

    If you don’t know the username or password for that account, you can request it here, and you will receive instructions on how to log in:
    https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    Once you change the email address of this old account, the original email will be “freed up” and you can use it for your new account.
