Change email address

I need to change my email on everything–admin, personal settings, notifications, etc.
I get the following response in some cases but not others:
“That e-mail address is already being used.
Will not be publicly displayed”It did let me change it as the admin setting of some individual blogs.
And I was able to add (email visible only to moderators and staff) (the address I want) in my public profile, and set it as primary.
I have never received any mail from WordPress at the new address accept for notifications on blogs I subscribe to. I unsubscribed, but could find no place to change my email address.
I have looked everywhere to see WHERE it is being used but can find nothing. I am the only person who has access to this email address and it belongs to me alone.
How can I fix this if I can’t find out WHERE it is being used?

You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com. Have you entered two different email addresses at these locations (see below) or have you entered the same one at both locations?
Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.
Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

Thanks for responding. I was already aware of the several different types of email usage within WordPress. And I have already read just about everything in the normal support channels, including the link you provided. That is the problem. I can find NO OTHER blog or setting where the new email is being used.
If I could identify where it is being used I could fix it myself. But I can’t find the place where (email visible only to moderators and staff) is already being used. The system says it is, but WHERE?
I am at a loss, and this after doing a LOT of research. If the materials in the regular support system had helped I would not have asked the forum. -

Are you having problems changing this address elsewhere? If so, can you provide a link where you’re trying to change your address. Once I have that information, I’ll be happy to take a closer look.
