Change Email Address that is displayed

I need help! I did not set up this website but I have the Login info. I used the info to access the MOMS Club site via wordpress. I need to change the website that is listed on our profile. I was able to change it in our profile settings but for some reason it says the ‘new’ email address will not be shown publicly, but that’s what I am needing. The club switched from a yahoo account to a gmail account. What do I do?

What exactly are you trying to change? If you want to change the email showing in your site’s sidebar, you need to edit that widget directly. Editing your account’s profile information has no effect at all on what appears on your site.
To edit the widget, open the Customizer. Click on My Sites, then click the Customize button next to Themes.
Click on Widgets ->Tertiary, and click on the text widgets appearing there to make changes to their content. Remember to click Save when you are done.

What do you mean your purchases email? Do you mean the email address where receipts and renewal reminders are sent?
All upgrade related emails are sent to your account email address, so if you want those emails to go somewhere else you need to change the email address for your WordPress.com account. That means comment notifications and post subscription emails will also go to the new address.
