Change email so i can confirm it

  When i initially set up my account the email address was incorrectly entered. i am now trying to change it so i can confirm my email however get the message:
  ‘there was a problem saving your changes’

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello,
  I’ve seen replies from staff which indicate the error message is because you’re trying to change to an email account already registered with WordPress.com. If that’s the case you need to choose a different email account to use.

  If you’re sure the email is not being used with a WordPress.com account, post the email address here (forum software will block it so only staff can read it). I see someone has already added “modlook” to the tags for this thread, which will alert a staff member that you need assistance with this issue.

  Hi there,

  As micawbr mentioned, you may see that error message because the email address you’re trying to use is already linked to a different WordPress.com account. In that case, you can reset that account’s password if you need by entering your email address here:

  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  Otherwise, please let me know what email address you’re trying to use and I can investigate that for you.
