Change font color of posts in CSS

  • Unknown's avatar

    http://NettingItOut.com. OK, I think I have a mental block – I want to (1) change the text of my posts to white (#FFFFFF), and (2) change the color of my Blog header to #CCC999, and I do not seem able to do this. I am guessing that I have to override some embedded style coding from Sandbox, but I may be wrong about this. Can someone point me in the right direction here? I think I have been looking at this too long…..

    Thanks much!

    1. I hope you are going to change to a dark background. There will not be enough contrast and people will have a hard time reading it. Add this to your CSS:

    div.entry-content p {
    color:#fff;
    }

    2. Are you talking about the text for the header or the background?

    Sacredpath, yes, indeed, I am changing to a dark background. (good thought!) I want to change the color of the body text to white. then I want to change the color of the header text to , and I will also change the color of the header text to #CCC999. I like the look of http://www.chezpim.com/, and so am incorporating some of these design elements into my blog. Thank you again, sacredpath.

    Are you talking about the header at the top of the blog – your blog title or are you talking about the post titles?

    thesacredpath, i think he might be having a problem with the following senerios
    1. a problem between colors for the top and custom headers
    2. i never thought of a second one well that’s all i can think of

    @antneecb, it has nothing to do with that.

    you can, if the background isn’t white… and by reading one of the OP’s comment, that’s what he’s planning to do:

    Sacredpath, yes, indeed, I am changing to a dark background…

    Sacredpath, antneecb: thanks much for your help. I found the darn little font color code, and appreciate your help. If you have a look at NettingItOut.com, you will see what the blog looks like, post-makeover. Thanks again for your help.
