    Hello, I would like to change the footer name only. My site is http://www.mselenalevontraveling.com

    My theme is wonderfully clean and simple The Manifest Theme.

    I would like the footer name to be – © 2011 – 2015 Ms. Elena Levon Traveling. All Rights Reserved. and the link taking people to where current link takes.

    instead of – Blog at wordpress.com

    Thank you for your help.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Glad you’re liking Manifest!

    While you’re not permitted to remove any portion of the existing footer credit – all sites hosted on WordPress.com must keep the footer intact – you may append additional information. Give this a spin:

    .footer-content:before {
      content:  "© 2011 - 2015 Ms. Elena Levon Traveling. All Rights Reserved.";
      color: #000;
    }

    If you prefer to have the copyright below the current credit, change “before” to “after.”

    Let me know how it goes.

    Thank you! It looks great.

  • Excellent! Glad that did the trick.

    ps – I’d rather it’s say “proudly powered by wordpress”. My site is an explosion of Artistic expression, it’s not a blog, it’s Art. ; ) I’m not exited about the word “blog” describing my pages of Art.

  • I understand! Right now it’s not possible to change the wording of the footer credit.

    I don’ think many people pay much attention to the footer anyway – so my opinion is it’s much adieu about not much – I forget what my footer says now – but I just tell folks I have a web site and don’t worry after that much –

    “proudly powered by wordpress” – can I have it changed to this?

    Sometimes a person has a lot of questions about my host, I tell them I have the same tech team as CNN.com and some other heavyweight companies, and if one of my Posts were to go viral (not likely for a boating safety site) and I get 1,000,000 page views – that can be done without breaking a sweat – a few times my articles were linked by a very active boat owners group – and a friend called and hoped that I had a good host – my reply to him was the 100++ views to on post in an hour or three was not even up to a rounding error for what my site would handle

    Sorry no – that is more appropriate for a WordPress.ORG install

    “I don’ think many people pay much attention to the footer anyway” – good point. It doesn’t stand in the way, of people the work that is presented on my site. Guess it’s just a personal preference and not an “oh, no, how am i gonna live now” situation, so need to look at from that angle.

    * appreciating the work

    ps – it’s nothing compared to the fact that the posts I have been posting don’t show up in the reader.. (even though all requirements are met)

    it’s all relative ladies. Have a great weekend.

    People come to your site for the content not for the footer

    Unfortunately as I mentioned earlier, it’s not possible to change the wording. Sorry about that.

    I’ve closed this thread but feel free to start a new one if you need CSS help with anything else!

    Could you please start a new thread for this and add the tag modlook to the tags area in the right sidebar so a staff member can help troubleshoot this? Thanks!
