Change “format” (stuff before comments– etc)?
-
Greetings. I have recently migrated from Blogger to here.
I am trying to find where to change the stuff that appears when I post, or when someone comments, etc. An exemple:
Instead of “posted by elka, on Oct 9th 08. – 5 replies”
Make it look like “written in the dark by elka, somewhere around Oct 0th 08. – 5 of you hit the keyboard”.
Please tell me I don’t have to buy credits for custom CSS for this or I might cry. Thank you!

Actually, you’re going to cry, but for a different reason. You can’t even change that with custom CSS. That stuff is coded in the theme files, which we don’t have access to here. We’re on a shared platform, which means that if you were able to make that change, it would affect everyone else using the same theme.

Actually, what is above the comment “posted by…” is set in the underlying theme files and we do not have access to those. It cannot be changed in the CSS as far as I am aware.
Since this is a multi-user platform, everyone shares the same underlying wordpress and theme files, so a change to them by one person would change it for all people using that theme.

I seeeeee. Well thanks for the quick response you two.
It’s so hard choosing a platform. Here is better for obvious reasons, but over there has way more little custom things like that which make you more unique, and I can never get enough of that.Alright, time for crying! TT___TT;;

See, if “yes, but you have to do something elaborate” makes the blogger cry, what do you think “Not a chance” is going to do?
