Change from free blog to one with own name

    I know it is possible to switch to a premium account with a www.(myname).something – instead of the free (myname).wordpress.com, but if I do will everything I’ve posted in the past track to the new domain name? Will current followers be retained?

    It’s been too hard to get followers to think of having to start all over again.
