Change from Text to HTML format in messages, which I do NOT want

  Up until about three days ago, when someone left a comment on my blog that needed approval, I would receive an email in my preferred text format. Suddenly they started arriving in HTML format, which I do NOT want. I looked in all the settings but could find no where to change it back.

  1: Why did it suddenly change to begin with?

  2. How can I change it back?
