I’m not using the testimonials section for testimonials. On this site https://lindacassidylewis.com/ it’s the pale gold section with the heading Become An Insider Now! and a black Get a FREE story! button. I would like there to be less space below that paragraph. I’ve added CSS to change the padding at the top, but there’s no padding at the bottom to change.

You can modify that here, under the Fonts tab on the left:
https://wordpress.com/customize/Create a new (blank) line, and paste in the following custom CSS code:
.front-testimonials .flexslider { margin-bottom: 60px; }Normally the margin here is 120 px. I chose 60px since that looked good to me, but you are welcome to modify the pixel value to suit your tastes.
