Change hyperlink color, in body of text only
-
Hi! I recently changed the color scheme of my blog to black and white (I’m using the Escutcheon theme). The hyperlinks are now dark black, while the font color otherwise is a lighter black, or dark grey. As a result, the hyperlinks are almost invisible. I’ve tried to add custom CSS to rectify this, but it has always resulted in the titles of blog posts on the home page and elsewhere also changing color. Ideally, I’d like the hyperlinks just in the body of text in each blog post to be blue, everything else to remain black. Better still if the hyperlinks can also change colors for hovering and for having been visited, though I’m not sure if this is something that depends on everyone’s individual browser settings.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
To change the color of links just in the content areas add this to your CSS:
.entry-content a:hover, .entry-content a:visited{
color: blue;
}This should just change the hyperlinks to blue when hovered over and after they have been visited, and should only effect the links in the main text areas.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Many thanks, charliescheer! I’m wondering, though: is there a way to have the hyperlinks be blue without/before the hovering? My main concern is that, looking at a text, the reader may very easily not notice that there is a hyperling.
Thanks again!

It is possible to change the links to blue.
Add this text to your CSS
.entry-content a {
color: blue;
}This text will make the links blue all the time, if you change the text I gave you before to a different color that will give you a hover and visited color, and make them blue.
Let me know if you have anymore questions

Hi @vinster82, since you are using a different theme, and since CSS is generally theme specific, can I ask you to create a new thread in the CSS Forum? Many thanks in advance.
