Change image container background color?

  • Unknown's avatar

    I’m using the Candela theme and I would like to adjust the color of the container (frame) around my image content. This includes the currently white area around the thumbnails on my front page, as well as the white area around the larger images that the thumbnails link to. I’m comfortable editing my stylesheet, but I can’t seem to find the correct code that references this container area.

    Hi there!

    The white area around the thumbnails on front page and larger images are can be change with this code:

    .hentry {
       background-color: transparent;
       -webkit-box-shadow: none;  /* removes border */
        -moz-box-shadow: none; /* removes border */
        box-shadow: none;  /* removes border */
    }

    Hope this helps =)

    Thanks very much – that definitely did the trick. Of course, now I’m left with needing to change the color of the frames around the navigation and comment areas. For example, see https://atmosphere.photography/portfolio/wind-follows-shadow/. Can you help me with the code for these areas as well? Thanks.

    I figured it out. My older inspector wasn’t selecting the correct element, but the Mozilla Firefox inspector was able to isolate them just fine. Thanks again for your help.
