change image header in ambiru

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi.

    I have read the FAQ on which templates allow for the changing of image headers, and the template I am using (Ambiru) is included in the list. I also read the following question in the FAQ, which was how to upload a picture. I have uploaded the picture I want to use as my header, but all I’m able to do is just that: upload it. How do I replace the default image with an image of my own? And do I have to resize it before I do so? Help is very much appreciated.

    Don’t know how it is with Ambiru but the theme I’m using has a header size of 700×200 and I just made one with this size and uploaded it in
    Dashboard>Themes>”Header Bild bearbeiten” (that’s what says in german)

    After that my own header showed up on my blog.

    if you resize it before uploading, that’s the exact picture you will see as the header. if you don’t resize, when you upload there will be a cropper for you to select which part of the picture you want as your header. i recommend resizing it first. you can find the exact header measurements in the faq.

    If you upload it via the custom header page for that theme, it should be loading automattically.

    @theair
    The header image size for Ambiru is 500 pixels x 225 pixels.

    Ah, I see what I was missing. For some reason I didn’t notice the tab under presentation that allows you to change that. Thanks for the help.
